updates

As the Alzheimers association already has a functioning website we have liased with victoria (Alzheimers Nz) and discussed what aspects of the website could be improved and what are the primary objectives of the site.
- a regularly updated source of information for those affected by alzhiemers (careers, family of sufferers,& potential sponsors of the association or regular donatee's).
-not only promotes Alzheimers awareness but also highlights the generosity of those that sponsor.
- We are currently working on concepts which communicate the severity of Alzheimers to the public. Alzheimers N.Z desperately need more sponsorship and they feel that developing more of a conversation with the public will increase there chances. We feel it would be appropriate to come up with an advertising campaign to get people to the website...to use the website...possibly develop a forum function so that individuals can discuss issues that arise while coping with someone the fact that someone in their family has alzheimers.
We think since sponsorship (corporate) is something that alzheimers nzb wish to also focus on we think it could be imperative to come up with a campaign that targets specific corporations to get involved.
we want to communicate alzheimers nz as an organisation that needs their help, and also that it is an organisation that could provide a unique marketing opportunity through our campaign.
we were thinking that some of these potential sponsors could be those that understand the importance of memories... or use memories to generate profit..
I.E, Fuji film {phots/memories}, Software companies{memory sticks/harddrive},somesort of stationary supplier (diaries,calenders) Telecom/vodafone? (pixts phones?) Libraries? Archives? etc…
we also need to generate a campaign that encourages the wider public, who wish to find out more information about alzheimers to get onto the site. This campaign could be one that is using the internet as a medium for advertising perhaps.
MSO print is a sponsor of the website, that has set up the website to date. They have recently done some rebranding for Alzheimers NZ to help with creating aware of Alzheimers awareness week 21 july-28 july.
We have contacted MSO in order to outline our mission for the y media challenge and also to express the areas of concern that we have with the site and also that alzheimers Nz wants to be improved.
MSO have contacted Alzheimers NZ and talked to them about what they can do to improve the site.As they believe the website is due for a refresh because of the recent changes to the branding.

The person that has been contracted to do the website is a freelance webdesigner who lives in Hawkes Bay which proves difficult for us to work in conjunction with him.But we have informed MSO that we would be really interested to form some advertising campaigns that work alongside the website.
